This article aims to help the beginner bassist to learn the notes of the bass. If you want to play the bass, you need to know the names of seven notes and their places on the button on the bass. Once you know where the notes are you will know where the sharps and flats are located. Playing bass is an easy to learn skills from a technical view. After all, for bass, you do not need to learn chords. At least not at first. While you learn the notes on the fretboard you can start right away on learning the bass parts to some of your favorite songs From the tabs. The great task ahead is to put the power to take your place in the group that you are currently visiting to learn the notes is a start, learning so you do not have to think of them takes time and practice.
Here are the notes as they appear on the button on the bass:
G | G #—|— — A — | — A #—|— B — | — C — | — C # — – | D — — | D — #—|— E — | — F — |
D | D — — E #—|— | — F — | — FG — #–|— | #—|- — G – A — | — A #—|- – B —- | — C — |
A | A #—|— — B — | — C — | C #–|— D — — | — #—|- D – E — | — F —- | — FG — #—|— |
| E — F —- | — FG — #–|— | #–|— G — A — | — A # — | – - B — | — C —- | — C — D #—|— |
You will notice that I wrote a pound sign (#) On the diagram of the fretboard bass. You probably already know that a single man, Sharp is another man's apartment that the keys of the song is in. For instance F # could also be called Gb (G flat) because it is both the note above F and the note below G. Easy to understand but hard to explain.
Usually you start learning the bass guitar using the E and A strings to play the bass line of some easy songs. You can start by memorizing only if the notes are that it will help if you set yourself the task of learning a song or two. Your memory values always a little help from your body and your feelings, try to learn some songs will help you get the notes under the skin. You will notice that I have to give you the first ten frets. You will see that it is an octave on each string. Once you have notes on those frets by heart the remaining notes will be much easier to learn.
If you take a look at the fretboard diagram, you see the note at the fifth fret of the string E (A) is the note on the next open string, so once you play the fifth fret, you can either continue to play up the neck or you can begin to play the notes on the next string. If you have already learned to play guitar, it will not be a surprise for you. Now that I have explained bases, if your head is spinning a little, just return to the simplicity of what you are learning: four strings, four octaves, composed of seven notes. That's all. Good luck.
